DMZ

Enable DMZ : Yes No

Multiple PCs can be exposed to the Internet for two-way communication, e.g. Internet gaming, video conferencing, or as VPN server / Clients. To use the DMZ, you must set a static IP address for a DMZ PC and set that PC to use the selected IP address.

Usually all PCs connected to the NBG800 are protected from Internet intruders by a built-in Firewall. For some Internet applications, (i.e.: Internet interactive games, video-conferencing, VPN-Virtual Private Networks, Web, FTP or E-mail server, etc...) computers must be exposed to the Internet in order for these applications to function correctly. The DMZ feature assigns up to eight (8) client computers to be exposed.

Note: One Public IP address is mapped to one DMZ PC. IP addresses from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.11 are reserved for Access Control. Do NOT assign an address in this range to DMZ PC's.
