BroadGuard Installation and Setup Guide
(NBG800 BroadGuard Rear View Panel)
NOTE:
Two cables are supplied with the BroadGuard. The white
cable (straight-through) is for connecting a Cable
modem to the Cable/DSL port; the green
one (cross-over) is for connecting a DSL modem to the
Cable/DSL port. If the cable is connected correctly, the
Cable/DSL LED will remain lit (the Cable/DSL modem must be
turned on). If you do not see the Cable/DSL LED light, try
switching the cables, green or white.
What You Need:
- A Network Interface Card (NIC) or an Ethernet Adapter
installed and working on your computer
- TCP/IP protocols installed
- A Cable/DSL modem & Broadband Internet service
Step 1: Plug in the power AC
adapter, make sure that all the LED lights stabilize 5-10
seconds before proceeding with Step 2.
Step 2: Verify that your Cable/DSL
modem is powered on and able to access the Internet. Plug in
your modem, make sure that the Cable/DSL LED light is lit
steady.
Step 3: Connect your
Network-Enabled PC into one of the four LAN ports. (We
strongly recommend that only ONE PC be connected during this
initial setup)
Once you have completed these three steps you are now ready
to setup your Broadband Internet connection. Just type "192.168.1.1"
into the web address location on your web browser and press
Enter.
You will then see an "Enter Network Password"
window, type the factory default User Name admin
and Password 1234.
