24 + 2 Port Fast Ethernet Managed Switch
Stackable Design
Highly scalable platform supports up to 8 clustered switches
Gigabit Expansion Slots
Available copper or fiber modules for Gigabit uplinks
High Availability
Advanced Spanning Tree support with enhanced VLAN options
Description
The ENS Series Managed Switch packs the widest range of advanced features available for the Small and Medium Business market offering an outstanding value. Scalability includes a stackable design and expansion slots for Gigabit modules. The high performance switch has robust reliability and remarkable scalability to meet the growth demands of today’s SMB networks.
Advanced Spanning Tree Protocol features provide increased service reliability through improved failover responsiveness and load balancing among different VLAN trunks. Specialized QoS features deliver efficient and optimized bandwidth utilization. The switch is fully manageable by Web, SNMP or Telnet.
Features and Benefits
Enhanced Security - Provides user authentication and network protection against internal DoS attacks. Authentication includes MAC filtering and port based 802.1x for RADIUS user login support. Uni and multicast filtering options help to minimize the effects of internal DoS attacks from viruses.
High Availability - Advanced spanning tree support includes RSTP and MSTP to enhance VLAN trunking and failover resiliency.
VLAN and Multicast - VLAN is supported on a port, tag and protocol basis, with IGMP and Rate Limit filtering to provide IP multicast traffic management.
Quality of Service - Provides L2 / L3 packet classification with 2 priority queues and 1Mbps rate granularity. Bandwidth guarantee includes WRR algorithm for intelligent congestion management.
Stackable Design - Up to 8 switches can be clustered for a total aggregation of 192 ports manageable under a single IP address.
Gigabit Expansion Option - Includes module-ready expansion slot for adding Gigabit uplink interface capability. Available modules support copper and single or multi-mode fiber.
Fully Manageable - - Local and remote management via SNMP, Telnet and Web, with Syslog reporting.
