The Internet Subscriber Server, WLH200, is deployed in a broadband service network for providing authenticated access to high speed Internet services. The WLH200 immediately recognizes new users on the network and automatically redirects their browser to a customizable welcome page. No network configuration changes are required by the user, they simply connect to the network to obtain service. Returning users are immediately recognized and validated for access to services.

The product is a freestanding or rack-mounted unit with two Ethernet ports (for WAN and LAN), and a serial port for system management and administration. Administrators have feature rich setup options through console or web page management screens. The ISS2000 can scale to meet the authentication requirements of the application, including RADIUS client support for local or web based RADIUS server databases.

Support All Network Configurations- Plug and Play:
The WLH200 can provide instant Internet access to mobile PC users by accommodating their existing configuration settings. This innovative design enables instant access to services without requiring network setting changes. Easy to use plug-and-play experience for broadband networks.
Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service:
The WLH200 supports RADIUS client. RADIUS enables service providers to maintain extensive user databases where scalable authentication functionality is required.
Proprietary Authentication Server:
The WLH200 provides a proprietary authentication server that allows administers to locally control each user's login name and password.
Remote Configuration:
Administrators can access the WLH200 using standard web browsers such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. All system functions are remotely accessible view and/or modify system configurations via the Web.
Banner URL link:
A service provider can specify advertising through a customizable welcome page with URL link. The advertisement Web page will show on the browser when the subscribers connect to network services.

Address Translate Function Accommodates all network configurations, including DHCP, DNS, proxies and dynamic and static IP address assignments. When a subscriber logs in, the ISS-2000 automatically translates their computer's network settings to provide them with seamless access to the broadband network. Users do not alter their computernetwork configuration settings.
Email Redirection Assures outbound Email delivery via internal Email server. A sent Email is rewritten according to SMTP rules and sent to a specified server for forwarding.
DNS Redirection The DNS Redirection function provides a local DNS server when a subscriber's configured DNS server is behind a firewall or located on a private intranet.
Home Page Redirection Enables service providers to redirect a user to the portal web site of their choice upon initial login. For hotels or event facilities, this means additional exposure for services and branding identity.
DHCP Function Follows RFC2131 for supplying dynamic IP addresses.
RADIUS Client RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) Supports access requirements to RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) servers, enabling scalable management of authentication databases
Internal User Account Management Contains a user account database for local subscriber access authentication where RADIUS server is not required. Includes login user name and password verification.

The Internet Subscriber Server has two Ethernet connectors, for WAN and LAN port connectivity. The WAN port provides UTP cable access from a network router, while the LAN port provides UTP cable distribution to subscriber access locations in the facility.

The WLH200 supports Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS). RADIUS is an authentication and accounting system used by service providers to manage user databases. The typical application is illustrated in the following scenario:
