11Mbps Wireless PC Card
The InstantWave 11Mbps Wireless PC Card provides quick and easy
wireless networking. For maximum wireless network performance, and
to achieve balanced network bandwidth allocation, management tools
include a signal quality indicator, station traffic monitor, and
a site survey tool. Forty and 128-bit WEP (Wireless Equivalent Protocol)
encryption plus SSID (Service Set ID) access control ensure the
security of the wireless network. The Network Profile Manager permits
profile saving for fast switching from home to work networks.
Featuring an advanced internal diversity antenna and complying with
the IEEE 802.11b standard, the InstantWave 11Mbps Wireless PC Card
is a high performance, easy-to-use wireless PC network adapter for
notebook PCs.
Key Features and Benefits
Industrial IEEE 802.11b Standard Compliant
Complies with the IEEE 802.11b wireless standard.
11Mbps Transmission Speed and Quality
InstantWave's advanced radio frequency technology gives outstanding
performance at up to 11Mbps data transmission/reception speed:
.Advanced internal diversity antenna for top quality
transmission/reception
.Superior receiving sensitivity enhances weak
data signal pickup at longer distances
Easy Installation
User-friendly interface and step-by-step instructions make the
InstantWave 11Mbps Wireless PC Card quick and easy to install.
Supports Seamless Roaming:
Roam freely from Access Point to Access Point with uninterrupted
network connectivity.
Comprehensive Network Management Tools
.Site
Survey Tool: Scans for and displays access points by Domain Access
Name and MAC Address ID. Shows WEP status, signal quality, and estimated
distance to help place Access Points for optimum performance.
.Preferred AP: Enables each station to create
a list that prioritizes available APs for association, allowing
network administrators to plan wireless network segments and balance
network traffic.
.Join AP: Allows manual selection of an AP to
associate with. Join AP provides a quick alternative for users who
want a fast link without going through all available prioritized
APs.
.Network Profile Manager: Saves time and network
configuration effort. Network Profile Manager saves network configurations
for different network environments, e.g. home to office.
Secure Transmissions
.WEP:
Forty & 128-bit secured WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption
for securing wireless LAN data transmissions.
.SSID: Only stations using the same SSID (Service
Set ID) are permitted to communicate with each other.
Advanced Autosensing 3.3 or 5 Volt Power Switching
The NWH1010 autosenses the power consumption of the notebook
PC or PDA's PCMCIA slot and auto-shifts the voltage to meet the
requirement; giving full compatibility with all notebook PCs or
PDAs.
Supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT4.0/2000/XP/CE
Supports multiple operating systems in both notebook PCs and
Personal Digital Assistants.
11Mbps Wireless PC Card Application Scenarios

 |
Ad-Hoc Mode:
For temporary networks in seconds, ad hoc mode (also called
peer-to-peer mode) offers a fast and secure network solution.
Ideal for mobile groups, e.g. auditors, who need short time
cost-effective connectivity.
|
| |
|

 |
Mixed
Wired/Wireless Infrastructure Mode:
Notebook PC users communicate via one or more Access Points
with an existing network backbone. Allows access to all normal
network resources from anywhere within range of an Access Point. |
| |
|
|
|
Supports
Windows CE for PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants)
The InstantWave WLC110 Wireless PC Card enables PDA users to
quickly connect to the network wirelessly.
